Núria Gavaldà holds a PhD in Linguistic Communication and Multilingual Mediation (specialisation in Forensic Phonetics) (Universitat Pompeu Fabra), an MA in Forensic Linguistics (UPF), an MA in Phonetics (University College London) and a BA in English studies (Universitat de Barcelona). Her main research interests are phonetics and phonology and forensic linguistics, in particular the analysis of the speaker-specificity of phonological processes that show sociolinguistic variation. She is currently a visiting lecturer at the department of English and German at Universitat Autònoma, where she teaches English phonetics and phonology and advanced oral language use.
